Picture Of Love

Sonshine 2005... it had its good times, it had its bad times. But why? Don't we choose how to react to every situation? Rather than complaining because Relient K is not "Christian" enough or were whining when it came to troubles with sound...maybe we should realize that God may have been using that as a sign for us to look at our own lives, rather than criticize theirs.

Those that I'm talking to, claim to be Christians. They expected those who perform on stage to reflect 'perfectly' the image of Christ, to react with grace rather than typical human behavior. I'm sorry, but that's impossible. No one but Christ Himself is perfect. Perhaps they could have handled the situation better, but who are you to judge? Who are you to be upset that they didn't? Rather than speak negatively about the situation, look at what you can take from it. When are you 'on stage' representing Christ but yet do not reflect him in the best light? Most likely, it happens a lot.

I'm sick of everyone saying how much that experience "ruined", "altered", "disrupted" their Sonshine 2005. Get over it. Learn from it. Don't repeat it. When you are put in the same situation, remember Phillippians 2:12-15.

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe

I didn't represent a true example of Christ this past week. I was criticized a lot, and a lot of it was from people I least expected it from. I'm sick of the egos, the people who feel that everyone around them is making mistakes and yet they never turn the examining glass back on themselves. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but that's between God and I.

If you have a problem with what I've said, then obviously you think I'm talking to you. If you think I'm talking to you, then obviously you think you're guilty of exactly what I am as well. If you're guilty of it, then maybe you should seek His help in changing it.
