The cooks walked out on us tonight at work. Just up and left. It was the best night ever. A few of our servers jumped onto the line (for those of you who don't know restaurant terms, that's where the food is cooked) and attempted to cook the two tables meals we had left for the night. We all laughed and had a good time, but it was stressful as well because we still had customers that needed to be taken care of.
On a side note... I watched Spanglish tonight. This is the second night in a row that I've watched movies that ended sadly. Well.. not really sadly, just not the way I want them to. I've watched so many chick flicks that I've come to expect that movies include the girl and the guy meeting, they fall in lust, the guy screws up, the girl takes him back, they ride off into the sunset in a beautiful convertable. Or the rare occasion when the girl screws up and the guy takes her back. These movies are realistic.. if I wanted realistic, I'd be out living life rather than watching it on a 19' inch screen.
Sonshine is next week. I'm excited.. I think. I never want to leave when I'm there...I love the kids, I love the music, I love the camping, I love the community... it's just a great time and I always feel so close to Christ. Then it's a rude awakening the week following when I'm back in the real world.
I suppose I should sleep now. Seeing as I have to work another double tomorrow.
