My parents found out the reason I'm going to Texas yesterday. They weren't surprised as I had anticipated, and I think my mom knew from the moment I told her I was even going to Texas in the first place. Somedays I wonder if she reads this site. She's just as good at hunting things down as I am, so it wouldn't really surprise me.
I went to Wal-Mart last night and bought a good $40 worth of stuff I really didn't need. Most of it was for the trip down... in one way or another (IE- Batteries, food, suntan lotion). Wal-Mart is a horrible place at 11pm on a Sunday night. People look like hell after the weekend and with the recent heat wave, they look like red tomatos from hell..
I was woken this morning by my alarm clock blaring a familiar George Strait song. After almost tossing it out the window (but reconsidering because it's better than waking up to an annoying buzzing sound), I realized that our nice streak of sunny and warm days was most likely over. The sky was overcast and the birds weren't as chirpy. Almost pissed me off, but then I remembered I'm working all day anyway, so what would be the point of caring if it's sunny outside or not.
Just keep swimming...swimming, swimming...
Side note -- I refuse to run three miles for him in the 100% humidity and 110 degree weather. Especially since he's now able to out run me. But if she does it (no, not you), then I may just have to. Competitive when it comes down to that type of thing. Then again, I'm starting to really not care.
Now I'm already missing you
But I'm not even gone
